Greg_Di 1,028
We managed to pull Henry away from practice today in order to conduct our annual end of season interview with the rising star. R: Henry, thank you for taking the time and talking to us today, we know you are busy preparing for the playoffs so we greatly appreciate it.HE: No problem! Always happy to come on the show and chat. R: Let's talk about your first season with the Wolves, how do you think it went? HE: The season as a team went great, we have such a great locker room filled with experienced guys that have been helping us rookies out and showing us what it takes to be winners in the VHL. As far as personal, the season was a bit of a roller coaster. I definitely didn't get the point totals I wanted or even reached a total that would be satisfactory for a first overall pick but I am not worrying to much about it. It was a great introduction to the way VHL plays and I am just happy our team has reached it's first goal of making the playoffs. R: And what is the second goal?HE: Winning it all of course! We have so much talent on this team and I believe for our team this season it's cup or bust! R: What will happen if you don't reach the second goal?HE: That is not an option for us at the moment, if it does happen we will deal with it then but at the moment, all our mindset is set on the second goal. R: Do you have any goals set for yourself for your first ever VHL playoffs?HE: I haven't set any goals but I just want to be able to contribute to my team. Whether that is offensively or defensively, I will do whatever is requested of me. I have been training non-stop since the end of regular season and I believe I now have the ability to be a game changer in these playoffs. R: What have you been working on that will make you into this playoff game changer?HE: I always had the scoring touch and defensive mindset but I wasn't the best skater. I have now been non-stop working on my skating, including hiring a skating coach. You will see a completely different player out there tonight. I am more agile, more faster and stay on my feet longer. The opposing team, if they look at old video will not recognize the player I will be tonight. R: We look forward to seeing this new player out on the ice tonight. Is there any words you want to say to your fans for the game tonight? HE: Be Loud, make all the noise you can. It really does help. The fans can be our 6th player tonight and we want them to make our building shake! We promise to put on a great show for them and hopefully get the win. R: Thank you for your time and best of luck tonight! Go Wolves go! HE: Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you again once we win the cup!
