The European conference final as begun and the Warsaw Predators team finds themselves in an unfamiliar spot, down two games to a powerful Moscow club.  Both games were close, both went to overtime, and both times Moscow’s goalie, Papa Emeritus stopped Warsaw’s onslaught to edge Warsaw out.  

 

In game 1, Emeritus stopped 46 of 47 shots and Moscow pumped 66 shots on Warsaw’s all-star goalie, Wumbo.  Both clubs played excellent team defense and showed why they are the two best clubs in the conference.  

 

In game 2, more of the same. Low penalties and another defensive showcase by both clubs.  Emeritus remains undefeated these playoff stopping 44 of 45 shots.  Future Hall of Famer Hard Markinson sniped the game winner at 1:03 in overtime.  

 

Going forward the Predators will have to make a few adjustments to get some traffic in front of Papa to get some pucks past.  With the offensive talent Warsaw has we hope to see them come alive and get back into this competitive series.

FWIW I lost 1 game against London. This has been a fun goalie battle though. Papa and Wumbo stars 1 and 2 in both the games.
