Moscow came out with a huge surprise in the VHL playoffs this season. After beating Warsaw in only 4 games, what happened? Was Warsaw too confident? Let’s investigate it. Warsaw lost 3 out of the 5 games by one goal, where 2 of the games went to overtime. Warsaw got 7 goals in the 4 games played, that averages less than 2 goals a game which is simply not good enough for a top scoring team in Warsaw. Both Zach Kisslinger II and Brian Payne both showed up with good points, where most of the rest of the team struggled to get anywhere, including the 3 top scorer last year in Brendan Marner. Wumbo was as good as a goaltender can be always averaging over a .900 save percentage, but unfortunately the veteran Emeritus was slightly better. With a total of 12 goals against in 4 games, Warsaw did not play bad defensively at all, it’s the offense that had all the trouble. Anyways, Warsaw obviously should have won this series, but the bias simmers forced a Moscow win. Screw Moscow. Oh, sorry I’m supposed to be neutral… Crap how do I change this? Oh well, gotta leave it in.
