TopTiddee2 186
For Fox 39 News, I'm Chris Rock. Speculations are swirling about Reid Johnson potentially retiring from the sport of hockey all together. While he has been quite inactive within the league as of recently, his participation with anything VHL related has dropped. This comes after Johnson reluctantly resigned from the Las Vegas Aces (VHLM) AGM position. Though he was expected to take the GM position after @Shindigsleft for greener pastures, he informed Shindigs of his disinterest in the position due to "business". There has also been rumors of Reid's long lost brother, Jeid Rohnson, current LVA penalty box attendant, is showing interest in joining the league and would be open to joining the Aces through free agency. A former player in his youth, he suited up for Compuware in Michigan, one of the top youth hockey programs in the country. He tallied 140 points in the matter of 70 total games over 3 years. He attended the University of Michigan and played hockey at the school for 4 seasons, tallying 52 points in 75 games as a forward, and was signed by the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) on an ELC. He played in 20 NHL games, scoring 3 goals and adding 5 assists in those 20 games. He was traded to Detroit in a blockbuster deal that saw Dylan Larkin shipped to Philadelphia. He spent time in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, but never suited up for the team due to an upper-body injury. He was never signed by any team and retired from the NHL after 2 seasons. Reid Johnson is currently a prospect for the Helsinki Titans (VHL) and a current defenseman for the Oslo Storm (VHLE). We will of course keep you updated on this developing story.
