Scurvy 1,573
1. I am doing nothing to help your slump as my team is slumping too and were in same division! LOL 2. I think London is an underrated club and has a chance to make it to playoffs. The damn EU conference is so tough we hurt our standings because it's so competitive. 3. No, I hung out at home with my wife, dogs, and 4 year old. We did watch the game tho and its as a good one 4. Bo Johansson probably. We played in E together and he helped me build my player up 5. Baked Potato 6. Probably Golf. Thanks for letting me drop. in on this PC. Ours isn't up yet and was trying to knock out all my points this week now. Best of Luck London! I just passed 500 TPE and am working towards 600 for my debut in the VHL. Unfortunately, I can't do much now to help the United out of their slump. 2. I expected the team to be doing better than last season. There is still time but the pace has died recently. If everyone keeps getting better that is all we can do! 3. I did not! Not much of an NFL fan as the CFL has always been my love. Usually I will watch for the commercials but I can't be bothered anymore with that. Moved to a new place as well so I am yet to make friends that would invite me anywhere. 4. Good ol' Jacob, though he seems to be in every locker room, I think he still counts as not being on London. It was a very fun season with the Marlins and it gave me a good idea of what a locker room can and should feel like. Now I can try to foster that as an AGM elsewhere. AJ has also been a great help with teaching me the ropes of a GM. Still more to learn though! 5. Fries. I think it must be because it is almost always the side dish to the meals I get which are usually burgers. I am a simple man so I stick with what I know! 6. That is a very interesting question! As I think about it, I tend to lean into things I know I will be good at which has probably made it even harder for me to stick with things I am not immediately good at. I am now at the point where I know what I would suck at and would avoid without giving a chance, which in turn, makes it so I may be missing out on a fun challenge. Maybe I need to get out of the comfort zone. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/129830-london-press-conference/page/3/#findComment-973463 Share on other sites

Though London didn't make it deep in the playoffs last season, I think even though the regular season record will end worse, the team will get past the first round. I feel it! 3. I think so! It is unfortunate that it likely doesn't add any positive results to a game like a boost in morale though. I do like that you can still imagine someone defending a teammate. 4. I have to go with the Stars at this point. They are a game back and they have a lower GA at the moment. 5. Janser will likely take it. It is nice to see such a close race though! 6. I dislike not knowing the theme till the last min. I like to plan things out and not knowing I think creates less engaging content since everyone is rushing to get the task completed. The theme itself was fine but it did make it harder for new members to make content for. London will land in third in the E conference. Things look to be picking up and a 3rd place would be that improvement over 4th last season that you want as a team. 2. Triller likes to relax. Would be a spa day with hot tubs, message and cold plunge with an hour in a float tank to help clear the mind. Hit up McDonalds a couple times as well. He doesn't have the funds yet but when he does, a quick flight to anywhere warm with a secluded beach will also be on the docket! 3. Probably target an around 1000 TPE D-man who is active in the LR. London has 2 great D-men and another that will rise up quickly in Gregor, but Skuin, though a consistent earner, they are a low earner. Also, with Nalwa's future in question, London needs to look at winning soon or draft smart and let their current crop mature. With Chiang retiring as well, a high earning winger would be great. Triller will be coming into the league at near 600 TPE but that is no replacement for 1000+ and there are no other prospects waiting in the wings. 4. A tribute to a team you have not been affiliated with in any way. 5. For their last season, yeah, top 10 for sure. You know what, they will end in 5th! 6. I am gonna go with 2. I think London ends the regular season strong and taking 2/3 of those games would make a statement. I kept the faith that London would reach the playoffs so it was unfortunate when that didn't happen. It is hard to tell if London under performed or if others in the European conference over performed but I did expect more from them. 2. I think our GM is going to have to fill the void left by Chiang as well as Kovalchuk if Bana decides to re-create. Free agency will have to come in to play if we are to compete at all next season. Then there will be the draft! We need to sure up our future so we can slowly grow into a championship team. 3. More activity in the LR is always good. I would imagine it gets harder to maintain as new players aren't flowing through so quickly. 4. My player will be uping his game in every way possible. Coming into the VHL for his rookie season he needs to be top of his game! He is still working hard in Geneva for the playoffs but will continue his on-ice training in London for the off-season. 5. Houston in the M, Geneva in the E (gotta rep my team but probably Cologne) and then Calgary in the VHL! 6. Not sure if I will ever become a GM. It isn't on my radar at the moment and I feel I need to become more of a fixture in the VHL before even considering it. I wasn't considering even an AGM position but after AJ reached out I decided to give it a go and have enjoyed it so far! I hope to be more help in the off-season with drafts and to learn more about submitting lines and strategies! I think I need to have a couple players as well before I think about if I want to keep commiting time to the league in a GM capacity. Still AGMing with Houston so off-season hasn't quite started yet but the seasons changing here so I need to start prepping the yard and house and just make sure everything made it through the winter! 3. Candy Land! As I've got older we have adjusted some rules and have quite a fun time now with our evolved from of candyland lol 4. Leonard has no tattoos but wants to get some after retirement! He has an amazing family and wants to represent them in some way! He is also a fan of the cartoons he watched as a kid and wants to get a collage of a few different ones. 5. I like the London Guard! Not sure what I would do for a new logo though! Those big tall hats wouldn't make for a very nice shape. I have no real interest in London itself though so we could always relocate! Lol Let's head to Scotland! 6. Hot Chocolate and Mulled Wine! Obviously the wine is not a very often thing and I've actually only had it a couple times but it was nice. nurx 914
1. Dil created one of the best locker room environments I have seen in the VHL. I am certain jacob will do a great job maintaining that environment. 2. Charisma. If you don't have the charisma to at least hold a conversation with anyone on your team you will have a bad locker room and people won't want to even play for you or even worse leave the league. 3. Jesse Teno is obviously an important of the team now and in the future. I think trading them could really harm the team competitively in the future. 4. I hope jacob doesn't change anything if that locker room is the same if I ever become a FA in the VHL I would sign with London immediately. 5. The child since he is currently GMing his father. 6. It is possible, but in reality you can have the best team out there but if STHS doesn't like you you won't carry that cup. jacobcarson877, Aimee and Triller 2 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/129830-london-press-conference/page/3/#findComment-976432 Share on other sites

Sticking to a vision is something that separates a good GM and a great one. 3) I don't love trading anyone, so hopefully the least amount possible. Drafted me! Lol Hopefully that turns out to be a good move and my player is able to fit in quickly! 2. Communication. A GM needs to be active in the LR and sharing with their team what plans they have so that everyone is involved. They also need to bring some good banter! A fun back and forth can create a fun atmosphere and that is what will ultimately keep people earning and enjoying their time in the VHL. 3. Aimkin, Jesse Teno. This is probably the safest answer because it wouldn't happen, other than that, if Jacob needs to make a trade I trust him. 4. I hope he brings in someone fun to hang out with! That will make the LR that much more engaging and long term, it needs to be engaging. 5. JC! I can't think of anyone more important that would have those initials. 6. I think it will take him 3. With the pieces we currently have, I think it will take that long for everyone to improve enough to contend but I think he will also be able to bring in a couple players that will speed it up. Most amazing thing I've ever worked on is the episode called "In Vaulted Halls Entombed" from the Netflix series, "Love, Death and Robots." Knowing it was made using a video game engine makes it one of my favorite projects. I've also worked on many FIFA games and other projects from EA. I've worked on a lot of different games as well as trailers! I also work from home which is the greatest. 2. I am 36. Just got me in with the 50 eh? Lol 3. I live in the Shuswaps in the interior of BC, Canada! A beautiful place. Been here for almost exactly a year now and move from North Vancouver. Originally from Saskatchewan. 4. I do enjoy video games and oddly enough, just taking care of my home and property! Lived in an apartment for 10 years before moving here so it is nice to not have to share walls and have a place of our own. 5. I joined up September 14, 2022 and have really enjoyed it! I've met some interesting people and hope to continue that trend! 6. I have been married for 4 awesome years to my wife who I had dated for 6 years before that. 5 months ago we had a beautiful baby girl who fills everyday with joy and happiness and I can't wait for her to be old enough to give me what for! Lol The rest of my family lives back in Saskatchewan and we are always in touch and constantly being visited and visiting each other whenever possible. A fantastic family I have.
