DC21 32
Dalton Canders lll Junior Review After his grandfather's brief career most notably on the Miami Marauders Dalton Canders Sr. would settle down back in his home of rural North Carolina where Dalton Canders Jr. would be born. He would not have the success in Hockey like his father but would make a career out of baseball in the aaa program for the Kansas City Royals, the Omaha Storm Chasers. This is around the time that Dalton Canders the lll would be born. He was inspired by his grandfather wanting to make a career out of hockey though the young boy's father pushed him into following the same path but the passion just wasn’t there and Jr began to notice. He started to play hockey around the age of 8 in development programs as he rushed to catch up with the other players who have been on the ice for many years more. He played A level hockey when he was 9 and 10 and after that second year of squirt going into his peewee years something clicked inside of him and he practiced in that offseason as long and as hard as he could. The next year he went out for AAA hockey at Omaha Mastery AAA. He failed to make the team but was pushed down to a high level AA team and would stand out as a key player on that team racking up a 1.5 point per game average and attracting the attention of the AAA coaches which led to him making the team the next year. He was an outcast on that team as he joined quite late and started on the third line, he felt more demoralized than ever. Through the demoralization he would still show that he would be a key player on this team for the rest of his time on the team. During his 13u year he even reached the #1 prospect in the US and led his team to a national championship appearance where he would go against the Chicago Mission and they would fall. They would come back the next year and get their revenge winning in overtime against the very same team highlighted by the game winning goal from Canders. The team during the 15u and 16u years would float around #10 in the country relatable to Canders prospect rating. At the end of Dalton's 16u year he would declare himself for the VHLM Draft as he works hard to prove himself as one of the best prospects out there. jacobcarson877 and Triller 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/131241-dalton-canders-lll-junior-review/ Share on other sites
