While I am a person, I like to think tends to look at everything from every; okay maybe not every direction but at least a few different directions. I find it hard to believe that the Christmas break will be a good thing for the Vancouver Wolves.

At points this season it looked not only like the team would miss the play-offs but also the fact that we seemed maybe to be heading down the wrong road in way of roster construction. Fast forward a few weeks and the team turned things around with a great stretch run not only making the play-offs but just missing out on missing the wildcard games. I hate the wildcard games as they feel just ….. in some way. Heard the NHL is even considering this and it just makes me feel ….. wrong.

First, we played the Seattle Bears; a good team that just didn`t seem to have luck this season so to say I was confident that we would beat them in the play in game would be a very much an understatement as I have seen my fair share of upsets around this league now. But to see us handle them so easily wasn`t expected. You would also think this would give me confidence heading into the next round against Calgary Wranglers? Nope, as I actually picked Calgary to win the cup this season.

Here we are at the Christmas break and we are up on Calgary 3-1 in the series needing the hardest win of all; series wining game but that needs to wait due to the Christmas break. Relax it Christmas and simply see what happens when the league returns but fact remains, we had momentum and now that is gone. Only question remains do we eliminate them today after the Christmas break or is this going to be the turning point in the series where Calgary comes back in seven games?

At least we have an accuse if it happens from too much turkey, being slow and lazy after the break to simply not being focused due to the Christmas break. Either way I hope my worries are all for not and we find Vancouver Wolves in the next round. Should find out in a few hours if your Christmas dream will continue or are we going to be talking about

How the Christmas break came at the wrong time
