nurx 914
The upcoming season will be the first with the new draft rules, so what will happen this upcoming season? Well we will have a more competitive league. I believe we have already seen a preview of what will become normal in the minor league. We have seen the middle of the standings become closer and a change in how some GMs think. The players who have the biggest impact immediately are the people who you draft in the first two rounds meaning that since teams are forced to hold onto these difference makers means that some teams may find that they have some successful teams randomly. This also means the teams that are successful moving forward are the teams who develop their players successfully. Unfortunately this also means we will possibly see teams who will focus on picking up welfare only. I don't think this is the best move for player retention, but if a team wants to compete they can if they want. My prediction as a result to this change will be we will never see a team with fewer than 40 points unless they sell all other picks besides the required picks. I also believe we may never see a team with twenty points more then the 2nd place team. Standings will become close and playoffs will become even more exciting. The future for the M is exciting and I hope everyone else is excited!
