So there we are Vincent has officially ended his VHLM career with a Cup.

He would still be able to join the Iron Eagles but right now he is aligned to join Calgary.

A canadian born player he couldn't be more excited to start his big dream with a fellow Canadian team.

At the Season 86 VHL draft Vincent Laroche-Gagnier was 19th in terms of TPE and he was coming off a 94 points season in San Diego. He was projected 17th by VSN and he fell to 20th in the VHLE draft the day before. Before the draft VLG had completed 4 interviews with VHL teams. He was open to every team but he clearly had a preference for the Wranglers. The Wranglers had the 14th pick so he did not really think it would happen. But then they traded their pick for a 2nd round (19th) and a S88 2nd round. Pick 19 was close to his projection and he started to believe. But his belief was cut short since Calgary then traded Prague's S87 1st for the 15th overall pick. Then, the moment came he heard his name on the stage. It was GM Kris Rice calling it, he was going to Calgary.

Today, he look to his future and his expectations in the VHL. He is a goal scoring left-winger coming in one of the best and most stacked offense in the league. This is a double edge sword has that could either boost his stats a lot but it could also do the opposite and the Wranglers have goals set high and he needs to help them achieve it. Obviously, for any player spending 2 and 3/4 season in the VHLM before directly going to the VHL and skipping the VHLE is an interesting path that will surely catch the eyes of multiple fan and put some pressure on him. Vincent has dealt well under pressure in the past notably scoring an Overtime playoff winner agains't Vegas in S85 and more recently a VHLM championship winning goal with 43 seconds left to the game. But both of them were in different conditions and in 10 round 1 game he only recorded 2 pts both in the same game. With a first round exit for Calgary this season they need to perform more in the first round something that is very difficult for the quebec player. Putting all the negative aside he is ready and excited to lace his skates and start the season in Alberta. He hopes to bring home 40 pts and 20 goals minimum and maybe a best rookie trophy but the chances of that happening are small.

He hopes that one day when he looks back at his career in the VHL he sees a consistent 30/40/50 goal scorer with 1 000 games played. It's the only objective he's given himself in the VHL altough he hopes to bring home a few awards. Individual as much as team awards.
