The Wranglers have had some ups and downs this season, despite playing particularly well. They've been able to score at a good rate with all of the newcomers to their squad. Landry has especially been playing great for Calgary stepping into a leadership role. He currently leads the team with 15 points in 19 games on a balanced offensive roster. Nobody specifically is outshining anyone else, but Landry and Boychuk have been the bulk of the goal source.

Throughout the season thus far, there has been one team that the Wranglers just cannot seem to defeat. That team is the Quebec Meute. They are 0-4-1 against the Meute getting a point in OT only once. They have lost 4-3 twice, 3-0, 2-1 and most recently 1-0. Goaltender Brock Waldron has 2 shutouts in those games, one being a 12 shot effort by Calgary. Whether this will be an ongoing trend remains to be seen, with there being another 3 games remaining where the 2 clubs will face off.

If the Wranglers want to be a true threat they will need to win more games overall at least. It will be an interesting stretch of hockey to see if Travis Boychuk and his teammates can put their chemistry together for the best.
