Doomsday 4,143
Kowalski Not As Advertised? OSLO - When defenseman Jack Kowalski entered the VHLM, few knew what to expect of him. He was branded as a goon, an enforcer the likes of which the VHL has not really seen. Through 25 games with the Oslo Storm, however, Kowalski has not performed like he was advertised - although that isn't necessarily a bad thing. "He's been more of a defensive defenseman than a goon," said Oslo's General Manager, Don Draper. "He's leading the team in blocked shots, has been a strong contributor in hits and has played smart hockey. Jack is far more disciplined and talented than scouts let on and he has been of great use to the Storm this season. On top of his defensive prowess, Kowalski has 19 points in those 25 games, showing off a much-improved passing ability with 15 assists. It would appear that perhaps the troubled player has managed to learn to control his anger issues after being banned from the NFL for life. It's also entirely possible that nobody wishes to drop the gloves with him as well, but for now, Kowalski's stock continues to soar as the Season 41 VHL Entry Draft slowly approaches. Jethro Novacek is a contributor to the MSFL Times, which is humongous big this week. He enjoys throwing empty cans at troublemakers, being a responsible member of society and not having Ilya Bryzgalov on his hockey team. BONUS 590 The Fan Article!
