It's Rivalry Time - Mexico City Kings vs. Las Vegas Aces

Ever since joining the VHLM as the GM for the Mexico City Kings, there was always a team that was stopping us from achieving greatness. A team that would no matter what, make sure we could not get past the semi-finals. A team so good, they were able to go back to back and that team is the Las Vegas Aces. The Las Vegas Aces currently are not what they once were, a fierce team that would end your season in a heart beat. In two seasons, the Mexico City Kings would achieve the fourth seed and make it to the second round, only to be bested by @Shindigs and his Las Vegas Aces. Multiple times were the Kings a contender, but multiple times they had their vision snapped in front of them by the Aces franchise. Nowadays though, the Kings are getting revenge on the Aces for what they did to them in my first two seasons of GMing in the M. This season, the Mexico City Kings are 7-0-0 against their rivals and are sitting alone at the top of league, sporting a 38-11-1 record. Leading the way for the Kings is Captain Nugget, a long time King who has been here for multiple seasons, but this season he has finally broke out into the player he was promised to become on draft day. Captain Nugget currently leads the M in points with 105 points in 50 games played, with 43 goals and 62 assists on the season. As for Las Vegas, they currently do not have a player in the top ten of points, assists, or goals this season. Las Vegas also currently sits at 8th in the league, with a 18-30-2 record, and as of right now the Kings would be playing the Aces in the first round of the playoffs. However, there's one thing that the Aces will always have over the Kings, and that's the fact they have two cups in recent times with the Kings having zero. A thorn in my side and an ultimate curse, losing in the semi-finals every single season. S84 playoffs we lost to the Aces in the second round. S85 playoffs we lost to the Aces yet again in the second round. S86 playoffs we throw a 3-1 lead and lose to the San Diego Marlins in the second round. The difference this season is that the Kings are currently the first seed and might be able to break the curse, as every single time they've made the playoffs they've been the fourth seed. Anything but the fourth seed could be gold for the Kings, literally any seed. I swear if we end up getting fourth seed again and lose in the semi finals for yet ANOTHER season, I'm going to lose it. I'm at my breaking point and we have to find a way to break the curse, I refuse to lose in the semis yet again. Maybe we need to lose in the first round to break it, but I'd much rather get to the finals and win to break the curse, as I'm sure anyone else in my shoes would too. Regardless, there's still 20+ games left and it's anyone's game for who will finish first in the league and where the Kings will end up!
