Fans were seen rioting in Vancouver after the collapse of the Wolves in their playoff series against the Bears. The Wolves, the top team in the VHL this season, were expected to easily win and move onto the next round. What happened was a completely different story as the Wolves were dismantled and lost the series 4-1.

The fans showed their frustration by throwing things onto the ice after game 5, destroying seats in the arena and then taking out their anger into the streets by flipping cars and destroying public property. There was reports of dumpster fires  and significant damage all around the arena. It took the Vancouver police more then 2-3 hours after the game to get control of the situation.

"It's disappointing to see our fans act this way, yes I understand things didn't go as planned on the ice and we take responsibility for that" Henry said "but that doesn't mean fans get to go out and destroy public property or our arena, it's not right. There are other way to take out your frustrations"

The Wolves players and management all condemned the action of the fans and promised new security measures will be in place next season for all playoff games.
