nurx 914
So over the past week, we have completed the GM carousel and I believe the choices made were the best all of the commies had in front of them. I do wish @jacobcarson877 the best of luck going into his time in London. If I wouldn't have retired the perennial disappointment Yun Chiang I would be playing under you. I think there is some promise with that London squad, but a few problems could be fixed and I do wonder if I was in London this season if you would have traded me with my forced retirement coming rapidly. Frostbeard being a VHL GM was going to happen it just depended on when it was going to happen. Taking over that DC team could be rougher than picking up the London squad, but I expect DC to get back into the deeper rounds of playoffs very soon. Yun Chiang is officially dead after whimpering out in what was a really sad career. I am very hopeful for what I believe could be a very good career out of Pope Francis it is only whether or not lord Simon smiles upon me after I leave the E/M. I maxed earned so far, but this isn't likely to last my entire time leading to at one point Queefson taking over the TPE lead at some point. I do have a biography to still write which I believe @twists has already done, but in reality, I expect as I get busier going into the summer I will miss two or three TPE a week fairly often. The real question is which build will be selected to be first in the defenseman or even whether we will see a forward go 1OA. The future can only tell what the team that gets 1OA for S89 will need. I also am a bit worried about the future in Miami. I am going to have to convince a player leaving Miami this season in FA to come back. I am also struggling with the fact that the positional needs Miami needs aren't as singular as it has been in past seasons and we need everything going into this upcoming season. In past seasons, I had my defensive or offensive core going into the draft which meant I was able to pick a standout and pick like 4 in the late rounds hoping to get a draft steal. This however did not happen this season as I am going into the season with no late-round draft picks from the previous rounds season. I do think this has mostly to do with the fact that the draft last season was a bit weaker than they have been in the past. I think the team will be fine and make playoffs, but the chances of Miami sneaking some playoff rounds is looking a bit unlikely way in advance of the season or the draft occurring. Of course, anything can change with just one big draft pick so the hope is never gone. words: 504 Edited March 19, 2023 by nurx badcolethetitan, jacobcarson877, Triller and 1 other 4 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/134077-my-thoughts-during-the-offseason/ Share on other sites
