After nearly 2 months of absence, I return to a VHL.com topic that is absolutely never going to get properly answered by continuing to ask the most important question, “Who is the Best Player In The VHL Portal?”. Today we’re analysing the alliterative Blake Bill who joined the league in October 2020 after being recruited by the user Sam16 who had joined the same day, and both of their careers started off well enough with Bill joining Sam16’s Oskar Petrauskas on the Houston Bulls for the latter end of Season 74. Both put up very similar scoring numbers through their 30 games with the Bulls as Bill’s 13 points was one shy of Petrauskas’s 14, although Petrauskas was undoubtedly the better player with 1 first star and 3 third stars along with a 1.05 points per 20 in comparison to Bill’s 0.63 and no stars. Ultimately, that’s all we would see from Bill in the league as they went inactive two weeks after joining with a couple of practice facility claims to their name and were subsequently undrafted in the Season 75 VHLM and VHL Drafts.

Now obviously having 30 games in the VHLM with a near .5 points per game average has them as a lock for one of the top eleven best players in the VHL Portal, it's just a case of how high up in the top 10 can they justifiably reach. Even though Nicholas Corrigan displayed better TPE earning than Blake Bill, Bill put up more points in half the games that Corrigan had, so Bill has to be at least tenth. It’s then a case of if Bill can usurp Kiefer Leclerc to become the ninth best player in the VHL Portal but I can’t justify that unfortunately for the same reasons as the last battle as Leclerc put up nearly as many points in the M as Blake Bill did in 20 less games, so Blake Bill will enter the rankings as the tenth best player in the VHL Portal.

I wonder what will happen to this series if the wheel of fortune would stop at Scotty Campbell, as surely the question would be answered?

Good read as always, I look forward to the next one.
