Steel Dominate Day 1 of JST

The S88 Junior Showcase Tournament has started. One team has dominated the opposition through their first three game, the Steel. In the first game playing away against the Warriors, Viktor Jensen would score with an assist King Kisslinger at 11:36 in the 1st to open up the scoring. In the second period, Marty Byrd scored with assists from Maxim Anisimov and Jussi Jokinenegg 5:57 in. The Warriors would score later in the period and with no scoring in the 3rd, the result is a normal 2-1 victory for the Steel. The normalcy left for game 2 never to return. Hosting Team Clue, the Steel left them clueless after a 7-1 beatdown. Shubham Anand lead the way with a 5 point night, Victor Jensen had 4 points and everyone else stepped up for a big night. Rematching the Warriors to end the day only results in a far more reasonable 6-3 win for the Steel. Viktor Jensen did it again with a second 4 point night and eight of his teammates produced at least one point. Viktor Jensen looks like the next VHL superstar and with the rest of the team looking no much worse, the Steel are likely the team to beat in tournament.
