In a dramatic 7 game series, the London United have been crowned the winners of the S88 Continental Cup. It was a weird series that resulted in a reverse sweep after being down 3-1 to the Seattle Bears. This mimic'd the VHLM playoffs this season To a T, with an under dog team in Philadelphia (London was not favored) trumping the second seed Mexico City Kings (same story as Seattle). 

 

This makes me believe we are truly living in Simon's world. I don't understand how Booberry switched his off switch after game 5 and how Teno then stole the show. I don't know how Seattle couldn't score one power play goal on an extreme amount of chances. I don't know how London even got to these finals if I'm being completely honest. I don't know a lot of things with this damn sim engine apparently.

 

What I do know is that anything is possible in this league and this season's playoffs showed it... from Philadelphia and London performing story book runs, to Oslo creating more history for themselves with their 3rd franchise win.

 

Seattle walked away today with a shocking loss that I feel no one but London imagined. That's the VHL, I love it and hate it so much. GGs London, well earned and @jacobcarson877 what a debut in your first season GMing, round of applause to you sir.

If it wasn't for the amazing series against Davos and then this crazy final series against Seattle, this win wouldn't feel the way it does.  I felt invested in the league before but now I REALLY know that extra bit that makes it even sweeter!  GG Seattle and thank you!
