Fire Tortorella 2,653 Posted October 27, 2014 Share Posted October 27, 2014 RGIII Finally Playing to Potential It has not been a secret that RGIII has not lived up to the hype surrounding him leading up to the S36 VHL Entry Draft. After being the third player drafted by the Reign at fifth overall, RGIII was expected to eventually become a top line goal scorer. However, this was mostly a projection of his skills, as the winger failed to even put up a point per game on a stacked S35 Ottawa Lynx team. This trend would continue on to the VHL, as going into this season, RGIII has amassed a measly 241 points in 288 games. However, things seem to be turning around this season, as the winger currently has 42 points in 41 games. With just a little less than half of the regular season remaining, all eyes will be on the veteran goal scorer, as his whether or not he hits point per game average will most likely have an effect on contract negotiations during the off-season.
