The busy offseason continues for Indian star prospect Shubham Anand. He has played in tournaments both official and unofficial. He a scored, fought, and even got some hardware. With the S89 drafts comming up soon, here a a review of everything Shubham Anand has done in this offseason to this point.

JST

This is a hard loss to take. After a 12 goal and 25 assist regular season including a memorable performance in the last game of the regular season to help lead the Steel to the best record in JST history, the team goes full Boston and falls in the playoffs to the Brigade in six games. Anand played just ok in the end with a goal and 3 assist in those six games. This team which expected to win whole tournament now must move on to bigger things with the bitter disappointment of a embarrassing collapse looming over them.

JWC

This is the other major official tournament currently going on right now. Shubham is an alternate captain for Team Mercenaries (Asia). This team has struggled against team with more players to choose as expected. Those struggles have impacted Shubham's play with only an assist in five games. The Mercs have managed to keep most of their losses competitive.  We will have to see if the Mercs can turn things around in the upcoming games.

ProAm

Now it time for biggest unofficial tournament Shubham has played in. Our boy has played for the best team in the tournament so far, the Maui Stingrays. You can't expect a junior player to do well against some of the best players in the VHL and that has been the case for Shubham. He only has one assist in 17 games but it doesn't matter to him. Shubham is having a great time playing and learning from the pros he hopes to become some day.

Commissioners' Cups

Now it is time for what is easily the most chaotic offseason ritual. Shubham would be selected to join this "friendly" rivalry be the two VHLM commissions. He would play for the only team that mattered, Team Gustav. This series of "friendly" exhibition games quickly turn into one big fist fight and this year was no different. Game Two would be the best for Shubham. He would score a goal then would fight former Steel teammate Reginald the Dodo to a draw. Team Gustav would win the series and everyone had a black eye or two and a great time.

Ana that is our update on Shubham Anand. He has hit some rough patches but hasn't look too bad all things considered. Hopefully he can step up in the JWC  and get a few more points there. With draft interviews already starting, the GMs and AGMs should look towards his performances in the first half of the JTS and his enthusiasm about playing so much to get a better picture of what he is capable of. With nothing more left to say it is time to sign off for now
