The VHLE is looking pretty competitive around the first third of the season

Recommended Posts

We're nearly a third of the way through the VHLE season and the league is looking fairly tight with the exception of The Stockholm Vikings and the Vasteras Iron Eagles. Any of the other six remaining teams could find themselves out of a playoff spot when the season ends as the difference between first and sixth is just six points.

Leading the way in a tie are the Cologne Express and Geneva Rush both tied with 32 points. Right behind them are the Istanbul Red Wolves with 31 points. A three point gap then leads to the next set of teams including Oslo Storm (28 points), Rome Gladiators (27 points), and Bratislava Watchmen (26 points).

If we look at goal differential, the Express are comfortably in the lead there with a positive differential of 40 goals. After the Express are both the Rush and the Red Wolves with a positive differential of 29. The Storm are a positive 19, the Gladiators a positive 9 and the Watchmen close to even with a positive 1.

Should be an exciting finish for the rest of the season!
