Mike and Matt - Hockey Edition

Mike: It’s Mike Blueberg along with my co-host Matthew Leclair. We’re broadcasting live from Chilly Saskatoon Im Saskatchewan, Canada. Saskatoon is home to the Saskatoon Wild of the Victory Hockey League M. We’re here today to talk to one of the rookies from that exciting young team - Welcome to the Show Ontario LeBlanc Jr.

 

Ontario: Thank y’all  for having me.

 

Mike: That was not the accent I was expecting.

 

Ontario: I was born and raised in Texas - somehow my father found hockey and loved it - so I grew up around the sport.

 

Mike: Ah, interesting. So tell us a little about your career so far.

 

Ontario: I was drafted somewhere in the middle of a pretty deep draft by Saskatoon. We have been struggling a bit, but it has really given me an opportunity to show what I can do.

 

Mike: What can you do?

 

Ontario: I just try to get ahold of the puck. I’ve been able to see openings and get my teammates in position for goals and have found a few openings for myself.

 

Mike: Yes - the statistics seem to speak pretty highly of you.

 

Ontario: I just want to do what I can to get  Saskatoon into contention again.
