We're now halfway through the S89 VHLE season and while the league remains tight, there has started to be a tiny bit of separation near the top of the standings. Istanbul Red Wolves sit in first with 53 points. They were in third last time we checked in on the standings.

Oslo Storm are second at 50 points and were fourth last time we wrote about the VHLE. Cologne Express are at 49 points and have fallen from their previous tie for first with Geneva Rush who have actually fallen to fourth at 47 points. Rome Gladiators are still hanging in there with 44 points but the Bratislava Watchmen have started to fall well back now sitting with 34 points - a full 19 points out of first place.

The second half of the season should be exciting to watch as teams jockey for positioning heading into the playoffs.

Unfortunately for two teams, their seasons appear over already. Vasteras Iron Eagles are well back with only 18 points and even further back sitting last in the VHLE are the Stockholm Vikings. The Vikings are having a very tough go of things this season having only won 3 games so far and have six points. They also have the league worst goal differential with a whopping -132. They have had a pretty lofty fall from last season where they finished sixth with 74 points.
