SCOUTING REPORT:

The young Theo Allard hails from Greenland, more specifically the city of Narsaaq that is home to roughly only 1300 people, including all of his immediate family. There is not much to do in Greenland other than go on the ice, to skate around, to play hockey or just to pass time, so from a very young age, Theo's parents were teaching him how to skate, and that passion and fascination became learning the rules and the abilities of hockey. At first, Theo really didn't like the sport, it just wasn't his cup of tea and he resented his parents for forcing him into participating, however as he grew older he began to appreciate the sport, and because his resentment turned into excitement, his skills only got better and his dedication to the sport brought him to the present day. So just how good is this young player? Let's take a look!

FACE-OFFS: We look at Theo's face-off ability and it's worth noting that he has been focusing on winning face-offs since he was just a young lad. Theo is very good with his hand-eye and can see the motion coming from a mile away when the ref is about to drop the puck. This talent will help him as he continues to improve the skill and should help with reliability when it comes to his growth through the league. You should be able to use him on the PP, PK no problem and have extra opportunities created solely due to him.

SCORING: While some teams may be looking for that playmaker-type player, Theo has made it his sole mission to score on his opponents as much as possible, and so you will see his scoring become the forefront of his skills. Should it be concerning that he is only focusing on scoring? Not really says many scouts, as he will slowly but surely be creeping some practice time into his passing play abilities, it just will not be his main focus. Do not be concerned, he will still move the puck around, and he will still ensure to make those epic plays, however he will look to be on the receiving end of finishing the play and attempting to pot the puck.

SKATING/SPEED: Another main focus here for Theo is his speed and his ability to skate near-flawlessly. Whether its turning a tight corner, or trying to backcheck on the ice, Theo is confident in his ability to skate both forwards and backwards to be able to play that two-way game. He will be reliable when attempting to make an offensive play and will also be reliable when attempting to shutdown the opposition in any way necessary. There should be little to no opportunities created by Theo that go unnoticed in this instance, and you will be thankful to have him backchecking for you on a possible breakout, he will beat that other player on the ice 10/10 times.
