Game Discussion

The trade deadline is coming up tomorrow and it's become clear where each team now fits in.  In big news, we've seen the Dynamo solidify their cellar dwelling position by moving Jarkko Olsen and Lennox Moher for draft picks.

The first game we will take a more in-depth look at is this close battle between the Americans and Titans.  In a game that took a shootout to decide, New York came out on top by a score of 4-3.  Leading the way for the Americans were Tom Slaughter and, of course, Odin Tordahl, who scored two points apiece.  Slaughter finished off a great game with the winning goal in the shootout.

In a game that may be best described as a sign of things to come, the Legion manhandled the Iron Eagles by a score of 6-2.  Toronto got off to a quick start this game, scoring less than four minutes in and never looking back.  They were lead by Devin Sundberg's hat trick and Jerrick Poole's four points as they coasted to a win in a game dominated by their young talent.

Finally, we have another surprising result, with the the Meute being shut out by the Express 3-0.  Blaine Olynick earned the shutout by stopping all nineteen shots he faced.  Leo Tesla paced Cologne's offense by adding two goals, including one on the powerplay in the second period.  The Express have been on a roll as of late and appear poised to earn a playoff spot and make the next big step in the team's future.

TPE Earning

Head here to claim your points from the Season 40 team point task!  Everyone earned something so don't miss out on these uncapped points!
