I like graphics that have layers of textures and effects that compliment the design without taking away from the focal point. You attention to detail is spot on. De-Branding the render is a must in my opinion and you got rid of any trace of NHL. The text is a very good design and you pulled it off with style. I really like the detail and color in the render's face. If I had to add a suggestion, it woulld be to have the render facing inwards instead of the edge.
