Born in the small town of Tasiilaq, Dalkr Vidarsson is a natural at the goaltender position in Hockey. He has an incredible ability to be agile in multiple positions regardless of his larger size. His rebound control is impressive, as is his ability to react quickly to shots from multiple angles. He highlights multiple strengths but does come with some aspects that need improvement.

 

SKATING: Skating is mainly a concern for goalies operating in one position. While Vidarsson is quick in terms of reaction time, his skating could be improved. It tails just a tad bit behind his other stats but could still become effective with continued training and coaching.

 

SIZE: Dalkr is a big goalie, tall and large while not overweight for his size. Combined with his quickness in front of the net, his size could prove lethal. He could still maybe pack on more in terms of overall size but the foundation is definitely there.

 

AGILITY: This is where Vidarsson begins to shine. He's impressively quick and agile, able to move from post to post in lightning fashion. Even for being a younger goalie, there's already comparisons to HOF VHL Elite goalies. If he can continue to get even better here, Vidarsson will be scary in front of the net.

 

REBOUND CONTROL: Another area where Dalkr excels, he very quickly reacts and aligns himself to keep rebounds at a minimum. Even if rebounds do occur, he often is in the right position to shut down any second chances.

 

STYLE CONTROL: Among his other attributes, style control is one Dalkr is great at but not the best. Maintaining a hybrid style means being flexible in different situations. While Vidarsson does do a good job, there is always some improvements to be made as he makes his way through the VHL development leagues.

 

HAND SPEED: Dalkr is quick. Very quick for his size. In multiple practices and games, he has flashed the glove more than once in an impressive display. Again, improvements could be made, but he's shown a unique prowess in this regard.

 

REACTION TIME: Again a strong attribute for Dalkr, it combines with his overall agility and rebound control to show how quickly he can react to shots and situations in game. Like a hawk perched high scanning the land, Vidarsson easily tracks the puck and reacts to shots as they come in. Seldomly do pucks surprise him.

 

The sky is the limit here for Vidarsson, and with continued improvement he could very well become a franchise goaltender for any VHL team!
