Watchmen Continue Drive Up Standings

It's been a scorching hot run for the Bratislava Watchmen, winners of their last 6 games. The driving force behind this current run has without a doubt been the stellar play of their 2 goaltenders, Jonny Elgar and WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. The Watchers have employed a stingy gameplan on the ice, limited goals and shots at both ends of the ice.

 

In the past 9 games (7-2), the Watchmen have given up 2 goals or fewer 6 times. This run of shutdown play has resulted in Bratislava moving into 2nd place in the VHLE with 44 points, now 6 points back of Vasteras for top spot in the league. The Watchmen are also 4 points ahead of Rome for 3rd place, and 7 points ahead of Cologne and Stockholm for 4th place.
