The Blue really stands out and the logo actually looks like it belongs on the jersey, which a lot of people mess up. Next up, there isn't too much going on in the background, which I also like. On top of that, you've got good font and shadows which I like. The only thing I would change would be instead of using the red for gradient on the text color, use a different color.
