Eric White Jr Finally Heads to Cologne

After getting drafted in the S90 VHLE draft Eric White Jr is finally getting to play in Europe after one extra season of development. White Jr was selected in the 4th round with the 24th pick in the draft by the Cologne Express. Ever since White Jr got picked in the VHLE he has been waiting a very long time to play for the Express who are in the middle of a dynasty time for the franchise and the first dynasty in the VHLE.

 

 Cologne has a ton of former Marlins that White Jr knows such as Marchy, Clark, Rave, and some more. With White coming into the VHLE as one of the better if not one of the best players in the league it will be interesting to see what happens with an already stacked Cologne team. White Jr is expecting to get a lot of points this season coming off of a 104 point campaign in the VHLM with the San Diego Marlins with 53 goals and 51 assists and an amazing postseason with 20 points in 11 games. 

 

White knows he has to improve on his offense to see the same success in the VHLE as he did in the recent VHLM season. While Cologne is looking for a third straight championship White Jr is looking for a Renaissance Cup during the Cologne dynasty. 

 

Europe is a place that most people in North America would love to go and White is getting that chance. Waiting at home in Canada after a heartbreaking round two exit for the Marlins, White Jr got a call saying that he should be going to Cologne soon. He booked a flight for 2 days later and during those two days he was relaxing. He knows that this will be a big step on his way to playing for the D.C. Dragons in the VHL as they drafted White Jr in the S90 VHL draft. White got off the plane only to find out he got traded from D.C. to Riga meaning he would be staying in Europe for the foreseeable future.

Cologne is a great place and White spent the first couple days exploring the city while getting ready for the season to start. Cologne is a very old city and roaring the streets was great seeing the history unfold itself.

 

The season starts soon and we can’t wait to see what Eric White Jr has to show us in the VHLE.
