It's game 1 of the wild card series betwen Helsinki Titans and Malmö Nighthawks. Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito, a star Helsinki defenseman, is staring down Henry Eagles @Greg_Di, a star Malmö forward. Someone who didn't know these two, or didn't watch them during pre-game warm-ups, would have no chance of guessing these two used to be long-time teammates in Vancouver, Bouchard captaining the team and Eagles being one of his assistants. And Pierre Emile didn't play any favorites, as his Titans eliminated the Nighthawks in 5 games, with Bouchard scoring at least a point in every game and earning 2 goals and 10 assists in the span, and playing a huge part in limiting Eagles to only 2 goals and 4 points.

Next in line, the first round matchup between Helsinki and HC Davos Dynamo. And another familiar face for Bouchard, and once again it's his former long-time teammate and one of his former alternate captains, Dogwood Maple @dogwoodmaple. This time, these two seldomly met on the ice, and both earned 3 goals and 7 points in 6 games. But once again, it was Bouchard who had the final laugh as his Titans managed to advance into the EU conference finals to clash with London United...

...whose first line center is Wann Kerr, a former long-time teammate and assistant of Bouchard in their Vancouver days, for a change. Who will have the last laugh this time? It might be decided tonight, as the Titans are up 3-1, and Bouchard has the upper hand on Kerr in scoring (4 points to 3 points) and has already laid a few hard hits on his former buddy.

And if Helsinki advance to the finals? Los Angeles Stars are currently down 1-3, but if they manage to beat Toronto Legion, their very own Jens Lekman @Bobcat is...you guessed it, Bouchard's former teammate.

Sadly we did end up beating you today and the final point tally is (5-3) in favor of Bouchard.

Also missed the part that Bouchard also eliminated @Alex in back to back rounds first as player (Skor something) and than the manager.

 

Toronto has my first ever Defensive partner and long time partner in Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz big part of the S86 Vancouver Wolves Championship and S87 Victory Cup so I still have one more to take down!!
