Player Spotlight – Wayne Shotzky

 

Wayne Shotzky joined the VHL on November 11^th, 2023 after his player agent @Kenamatic signed the papers to have the Canadian born winger added to the pool of eligible players for the  Season Ninety-Two VHL Entry Draft. Shotzky would quickly join the Mississauga Hounds of the VHLM for the remainder of Season Ninety-One, where he played in thirty-four regular season games for the Hounds. Shotzky quickly impressed VHL fans and scouts in his shortened VHLM season as the twenty year old put up sixteen goals and twenty-four assists in those thirty-four games. Shotzky and the Hounds were able to make the VHLM playoffs last season, where Shotzky impressed again with two goals and two assists in the six Hounds playoff games. As a first generation player in the VHL, Shotzky has been progressing nicely, picking up 6 TPE each week since joining the league. While he has left some TPE in the board, it’s always hard as a first generation player to be a max earner week in and week out, but of course we would be willing to help the youngster out with ideas for an easy 2 TPE VHL.com article, or point him in the right direction for the frustrating trivia questions each week. Regardless if he does become a max earner or not, we wish Shotzky all the best as he hopefully finds his place in the VHL community.
