Girts 1,053 Posted January 15 Share Posted January 15 Stockholm Vikings hulking blueliner Guntis Gavilrovs, the 3rd overall pick in the draft, has come out of the gates on fire and is leading the VHLE in several categories through the first 10 games. Guntis is throwing the body like nobody else with 55 hits in 10 games and is on an astonishing pace! He has 16 points to lead all defenseman and is the league leader in assists so far with 14 on the season. His physical play and offense has helped the Vikings to a solid start at 5-5, currently 3rd in the standings. Fellow Vancouver prospect and Vikings forward Riley Martin @Smarch is also off to torrid start with 7 goals and 16 points through 10 games! This duo is building chemistry when on the ice together and it's not only a great sign for Stockholm but also Vancouver in the future! It will be fun to see what Gavilrovs, Martin and the rest of the great players on Stockholm can do together this season!
