N0HBDY 1,127
Thor Reingaard, a highly touted prospect heading into his draft season. It was a close debate on who the top pick would be, Thor certainly had a running for it. But when the first name was called, it was not him. However Thor would be the next up on the draft board going 2nd overall to the Moscow Menace. Then right after at 3rd overall again with Moscow, they would take his brother Leif to pair with him on their new found adventure to Russia. The Menace weren't in dire need of the Reingaards that season and so they allowed them to go back one more season to the VHLE where Thor would again play for the Vasteras Iron Eagles, where he had played the season before. Thor found much more success in the league this time around putting up respectable numbers and helping with a playoff run that would finish in an unsuccessful finals series. Then the offseason came, Thor and his brother Leif destined to make their rookie debut together, all that was left before then was the draft. A couple days before the draft however, Thor would get some news. He had been traded from the Moscow Menace and away from his brother, to the Warsaw Predators. Thor was no stranger to the Predators, last draft season Warsaw held the 2nd overall pick and had talked to Thor just before they ended up trading the pick away. A shocking move to Thor who now had to say goodbye to his family and no longer see him as a teammate, but an enemy. Nevertheless Thor's goals for the season were simple, try to be the best of the incoming rookies. Being one of the highest rated forwards of the incoming class he would get some attention from VSN in a rookie race article where he was to his surprise rated 8th of the incoming group. But now the offseason had finished and it was time for his rookie debut versus the London United. In the Orange and Blue Thor made his debut and made an impact, in the 2nd period Thor would score his first goal in the VHL that would help in the eventual overtime victory. Since then Thor has still performed strongly for a rookie, not in the lead for the rookie race, but it's not over until it's over. Lines constantly shifting and new strategies are always being tested on a scrappy Predators team.
