For my VHL article this week I thought I’d talk about my only recruit left in the league, Calgary’s Rip Wheeler @ScottyP.  Now, Rip prided himself a killer when he entered the league.  He actually said, “I’ll be the next Eric Lindros.”  So, Rip came out a low scoring hitter notching 325 hits in S90. But he did a complete 180 and turned old Rip into a solid contributor for the first place Calgary team.

He is second on the team in overall scoring with 67 points, third in goals scored with 28, 81 PIMs, and 126 hits.  He has upped his BC because he felt like a pansy last season, but he is still notching some points at a time when Calgary is about to enter a tough playoff in their quest for the Cup.

I am excited to see that he has done some point tasks and not welfare and is almost 800 TPE.  What excites me more is next season my player gets to face off against him and hopefully provide him with a season ending injury of some sort.

Good Job Rip
