Moscow Swept Aside - Questions Surrounding Future

The Moscow Menace's quest for the championship had come to an end, being swept aside in spectacular fashion. London United lay the beatdown on the Menace winning four straight to advance to the Conference finals. After beating Malmo with ease in the first round, Moscow's major mishap will have questions aplenty for what the future holds for this once up-and-coming team. Many thought this would be the season where it all came together for them but clearly there is still much work left to do. David Rashford, essentially an undrafted player, paced a balanced Moscow attack with 13 points and 6 goals in 12 games. A mega showing for an individual who not many thought would have ever played a VHL game. A disappointed Rashford had this to say following their earlier than liked exit: "We were really unlucky this series. I thought we played very well and generated more chances than London. We lost four really close, hard-fought games which we easily could've won. This one will sting for a long time."
