The black outline defines the render, and it looks like there is a bit of lighting behind it. The background is cartoonish and goes well with the render effects you used. The text fills it's role and runs well with the style of the overall graphic. I would say that the only thing that looks a bit off is the render's face detail. Maybe a little bit of selective exposure would have made him more detailed.
