DarkSpyro 971
As we approach the mid-season mark for S94, I’m here to give you another quick update for the Malmo Nighthawks and some of their recent developments. Firstly, the Nighthawks have taken the 1st overall position on an impressive record of 23-6-3 (49 points) in their 32 games played. They are being tightly contested by the London United who are 23-8-2 (48 points) in 33 games played- followed by the leaders of the NA conference, the Seattle Bears who are 23-8-1 (47 points) in 32 games played. Our next story is that after the Nighthawks 30th game of this season, where they defeated the Helsinki Titans 3-0, the Captain and goaltender Ash Sparks made history once again with that 27th career shutout by becoming the sole all-time shutout leader in Malmo Nighthawks history! Sparks is currently chasing down 1 more franchise record with half a season to go, the all-time Wins record. He only needs 19 more wins for sole possession of the all-time wins record and with Sparks having 1 helluva final season so far, it could be possible since he has a beautiful winning record of 21-4-3 in his 28 appearances so far. Sparks not only leads the league in wins, but is sitting on top for GAA once again with a 2.30 and is in the top 5 for save% with an 0.925. If nothing else, he is proving a point and making his final season a bold statement.
