50 Goals, 50 Assists & 100 Points

 

Here we are just over halfway through S94 and the first overall pick, might have surprised a few or at least raised some eyebrows when Bratislava Watchman selected Pierre Emile Bouchard, but Bouchard has really shown to date that maybe the selection wasn`t as misplaced as might have seemed at first.

 

The young forward (and I am about to jinx it here) is set to do something in the VHLE last seen almost a decade ago when John Jameson scored 51G – 52A – 103pts. Jameson is the last player to score fifty goals and fifty assist; also reaching the 100pts mile stone. Bouchard is currently chasing the 50/50 club and will only be the sixth player to do so since the league founding back in S80; with Brussels Sprout, Kyosti Karjalainen, Braxton Hunter and Yun Chiang all accomplishing the feat in S81.

 

It will be a challenge to see if Pierre Marc Bouchard can maintain this pace as he is currently scoring at 0.725% rate with 29 goals through 40 games putting him just a head of the 50 goals that he would require at 52.2. He should easily reach 50 assists as he is currently at 0.95% rate and on pace for 68 assists. While his overall pace as slowed, he should also reach 100pts easily as he is currently on a 1.675% pace down from 1.755% pace just last week; which should see him finish around 120pts mark. In what could be a remarkable season for Finnish player.
