Rookie leads turnaround?

 

Being a rookie can be tough as you are not really sure of what you are as player when you first join the VHL and yet in some circles you are expected to contribute. Vancouver Wolves rookie Pierre Marc Bouchard came into the season with a lot of expectations from fans, the team and himself to contribute but the early season when Vancouver was struggling so was the rookie forward.

 

“It was to be expected while Bouchard isn`t going to be the make-or-break player this season in Vancouver he is still expected to play his role; of an offensive threat.” Added an analyst of the players and the teams early season struggles. “As the games have progressed, you can see Bouchard becoming more comfortable with his own ability and it has translated into his own success as well as the success of the team. Like always when a team is clicking all members of the team benefit and it is no different in Vancouver at the moment.”

 

So, is the Rookie responsible for the turnaround in Vancouver Wolves season?  "Simple answer is no!! When you look at who is leading the team and how the team points standings looks; it is clear that the Vancouver Wolves rookies are contributing but are not the reason why Vancouver has turned around the season with Ninefingers leading in the team in points at 35; Wheeler leads in goals with 18 and Guntis leads assist with 25. Showing that it has been a team effort."

 

"Looking even further into the points with all but two players at a point per game also reinforces the team effort; not to mention the fact that it also reinforces it isn`t the rookies leading the way in the turnaround for the Wolves as it is both Trueno & Bouchard that are both only two players below a point per game." Added the analyst

 

Vancouver Wolves; I am sure at the moment don`t really care about who is leading the way but are happier to finally see the results most on the team and around the league expected from this club entering the season.
