Well. I thought I would review something I find interesting. So, we are now 24 games into the VHLE season. Currently, my team, the Rome Gladiators, sits in last place. Oddly enough, despite sitting in last place, everyone on our team besides one player, is averaging one or more points per game. I think that the struggle with the team is our defense, because maybe we score a lot of points but we obviously aren't doing well at preventing points from being scored on us. We have 59 goals for, while about x3 against us. This is a clear indication that we are struggling in terms of the balanced side.

Reviewing the forward lineup, we have one top player near the 400 TPE cap, at 384 TPE (myself) and someone right below at 280 TPE. Logically, this could be more of an offensive problem then a defensive issue. We have two 300+ TPA defensive players, which are nearing the 400 TPE cap of the VHLE. Additionally, we have to depend on bots for some lines (I believe) as we only have two players on defense. That would be 2 players playing the same 4 lines.

Picking up some defensive players either through Free Agency or the draft could potentially help the Gladiators moving forward. Seeing as the gladiators are struggling, in a last place position, it could be assumed that the draft lottery will work in the favor of the gladiators.

Reviewing Existing Prospects:
Rome already has many existing prospects on the team, that will be playing soon. Two have even exceeded the 200 TPE rule and are about to hit 400, without even getting a chance to play for Rome! Straight from the VHLM to the VHL, eh! We have a few very good defensive players that will be coming up in the off-season to play for us. They are already at around the 200 TPE point, and hopefully when the rollover occurs they have banked some extra TPE that they can use as soon as they get called up, thus being ahead of others.

Player Review, Ivan Ivanov:
Now with the overall review of how our team is doing so far, I would like to move on to review how my player Ivan Ivanov is doing. Ivan, like his teammates, is currently averaging over one point per game. Unfortunately Ivan started late this season as he was a free agent during the beginning of the season (I wasn't very active!). But now Ivan is back with Rome and ready to carry the team in his last season before going to the major leagues. This season, Ivanov sits at 8 games played and 11 points scored. 5 of those were goals, 6 of those were assists. One thing that I would like to highlight with these statistics is that Ivanov is currently on a +/- of minus 9. Overall, the +/- of the entire team as well is not good.

This individual indicator shows the inconsistent with the defense and offense. We need to work on our scoring, and become better on both sides to become more balanced.

Thrilled to see you suiting up again, and you've done a great job leading the charge! Lot of holes in the roster, hard to pin down any one in particular, but if we're going to lose, I hope that we can at least score a bunch of goals in return!

Lots to be excited for with the prospects coming up in the next couple seasons, and a great VHL career ahead of Ivan!

Great media and hope to see many more over the next few seasons!
