My Last Second Media Spot

 

Chicago Phoenix

 

Alright, I'll keep it a buck. I completely forgot to do my media spot this week and now I'm speed running 500 words. The Chicago Phoenix are currently tied for first place in NA, with a record of 24-10-3. I think coming into the season most people had us placed anywhere from 3rd-5th, as although we've slightly improved the team, we haven't made any huge steps. We did end up addressing our depth and our top end talent is quite good, but most our players are banking to be able to sit at a certain TPA amount their entire career, which in turn makes them higher salary currently. I have no problem with this though, as they're still doing pretty solid and leading us to tied for first, so no problem here. Ryan currently is having an absolute GOTY type season, where he has a 21-9-3 record, with a .924 sv% and a 2.52 GAA. He's doing fantastic for us and I hope we can help him get 40+ wins this season to possibly help him make a case for GOTY. He's had some mediocre seasons before that, so I believe it's deserved. Meanwhile, a lot of our players are having great seasons, especially Mancini, Moon moth, Schwarzer, and Oven. They seem to be our main four scorers moving forward and I'm hoping our team can do some damage come playoff time (I've never won a playoff series).

 

Moscow Menace (My Player)

 

Don't even get me started about George Richmond. Now disclaimer before I go off on my player, I'm on the 2nd line and with more of the lower TPA players, so my scoring is going to be down for sure. However, I have 1k+ TPE and I'm just over a point-per-game with 44 points in 37 games played. That's actually pretty solid to be honest, but it's more the fact that I'm a -5 on the season. I know a lot of people do not care about +/-, but I would at least like to be a + player in my career, every season if possible. I'm currently a +31 in my career and under a point-per-game, so I guess it's not going that bad. However, I'd like to at least get 50 goals once in my career, and I'm not too far off my final build (around like 180 TPE). Hopefully my player can step it up, but regardless, it's not that deep because I ended up winning the cup riding the bench not doing a whole lot . I do want to at least win an award once with this player, I don't really care what the award is. I guess I have won an award, but it was more of a team award, so now I'm hoping to get an individual award. My main goal would to be to go back to back and keep winning with this player, which I feel like Moscow has a good chance to do this season. We've broken the curse so why not just keep winning? That would be fantastic for everyone involved on Moscow, but I'm sure the league would hate it!
