Well, that sucked.

I had a really fun season with Moscow, watching Obuz, Rashford, and Ruutu cook, while picking away at my own season was great. I generally either saw my teammates dominate, or I got to do something.

But now the pressure is going to start coming for Woods. She doesn’t have a lot of time to get used to this whole VHL thing, as she’ll be making too much money soon enough for her to not pull her weight.

The cap crunch is already here, with a relatively young or depreciated roster, and all of us really have to prove our worth from here on out.

Where can Moscow shave some salary? They upgraded their forward group for the playoffs, just to get swept by a scrappy underdog Davos team. Do they downgrade their D-core? There’s not much more to strip, at least until Woods can be a genuine 1B defender. Does Moscow move on from Syko? He certainly hasn’t been irreplaceable, but how much confidence does the team have in finding an option that is worth their own respective weight in gold?

I guess we’ll find out, and we’ll see whose 1st rounder Spartan snags next!
