Memories of the E

As a relatively newer member who is still on my first player, I only got one crack at playing in the VHLE. For that simple reason, the Bratislava Watchmen will always have a special feel for me since it will likely be the only team in the E that I ever play for (unless it makes a return some day). Playing for the Watchmen in S90 was great, and we ended up making the playoffs before losing to Rome in 7 games in the semi-finals. The better part of being with the Brats in S90 was in the room though, as the team had a lot of fun off the ice together. Going over daily sim results in the room was great. Competing with each other on Puckdoku and Wordle was even better. Playing for a GM who is as invested in the team and the games as I am is such a blessing, and having Rory run everything in Bratislava with a high level of passion is amazing. 2 seasons after I went up to the VHL, the Brats won the Renaissance Cup, rewarding Rory and the team with a title that was well deserved. I remember when my time ended in the VHLE, I wondered why it was that the league had this reputation for a step that everyone should skip on their way up to the VHL. Maybe others weren't as fortunate as I was to enjoy their time in the league. All I know is that it was a bunch of fun, and there are good people who will be out of management positions for the time being with the league getting dropped.

A lot of it came from people who had known the league before and deemed it just an extra step in the process, a roadblock to simply get passed. I personally agree with you, I enjoyed my limited time there and so think people chose to hate it so did so before even trying.

 

Irregardless though we didn’t get rid of it because of the hate, we got rid of it because the numbers don’t make sense anymore.

Oh, I understand the reason for what we're doing, no worries. That part wasn't meant as a criticism at all, just an acknowledgment that people seemed to have this odd hate for it that I didn't understand.
