jRuutu 2,474
The Draft lottery results have arrived, in the upcoming draft Moscow Menace has three picks in the first round: 5th, 8th, and 13th. What makes things interesting for veteran center Jarmo Ruutu is the fact that there are a couple of top-level center prospects in the upcoming draft, Petan Jr, Villain, and Jakobs to name some names. Extra tension comes from next year's draft: when looking at the prospect pool for next year there do not appear to be that many centers. Things can of course change fast and for example, some of the wingers in the S97 draft pool are surely versatile enough to have the potential to play in the middle. In Moscow, George Richmond is more than ready to be a first-line center, so when Jarmo Ruutu is on the verge of getting demolished by depreciation now could be the time the trusty old plow horse is taken to the back of the barn to make room for a younger center. Trades could happen and make things interesting for the upcoming draft also, but as of right now Jarmo Ruutu is almost surely regretting not taking an NTC in their current deal.
