Well the draft is over and S96 is getting ready to start. San Diego had a couple of picks in the draft so I am going to quickly recap our moves this draft.

San Diego finished dead last in S95 getting us 1st overall. A couple of trades with and Halifax before the draft. 3 to be exact would land San Diego having 1oa and 4oa and Ottawa having 2oa and 3oa. I had so many options with this draft and I could only pick one.

1st Overall Pick - Bubbles LaFleur
Bubbles is a defender from Canada with a bunch of potential. AJ is an amazing guy and wants to play with Spyro, will that happen? AJ has already been talkative in the San Diego Locker Room which is always good. Bubbles played 14 regular season games with Halifax last season picking up 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points while being a defensive defenseman based on his current build. Bubbles also saw 5 postseason games with Halifax getting 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points. Halifax did lose in the 1st round to the eventual cup champions the Philadelphia Reapers.

4th Overall Pick - Ricky LaFleur
Ricky is the goalie of the LaFleur brothers who will be looking to dominate in the crease. Also from Canada which is a big shocker. Spyro has also been talkative in the San Diego Locker Room but did not play as many games as AJ. Ricky played in 4 games with Halifax last season going 2-2-0 with a .911 SV% and a 2.26gaa. A decent showing but did not get any postseason games. two great players picked in the 1st round lets see what we have in store for the rest of the draft.

TRADE ALERT!!!
Mississauga Acquires:
Bartholomew Lorequavius
S98 SDM 3rd

San Diego Acquires:
S98 MIS 1st
S96 PHI 2nd (19 overall)

Well San Diego trades starting goalie Bartholomew Lorequavius to Philly who needed a goalie for 19th overall and a 1st while also giving up a 3rd.

19th Overall Pick -  Ron World Peace Jr
San Diego traded for this pick so clearly had someone they wanted and they got that. RWPJ from Germany is another defenseman for San Diego who played for Mississauga last season for a whole 14 games getting 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points. Mississauga also made the playoffs where RWPJ played 9 games and only got 4 assists. The Hounds swept Houston in the 1st round then lost to Philly in 5 games in the 2nd round. Stevo just joined the San Diego Locker Room but should be an amazing add to the team.

The rest of the draft is very lowkey so I will put it all into one. At 38th overall San Diego picked BIG MOOSE a right winger who did not play last season. At 51st overall the Marlins selected Jonny Elgar Jr a right wing who also didnt play last season and at 61st overall we picked Alexander Reyes a left winger who didnt play last season.

Overall a good draft showing for San Diego. A post for the Reintroduction draft might be made but with those players San Diego will problably be heading into the season with a werid roster of 6 forwards, 5 defenders and 1 goalie. Cant wait for this upcoming season.
