This has been a week of reflection. Not just this last season, which turned out to be the biggest season for Gunner so far, but looking back at the last couple of seasons. The Moscow cup win was a huge part of what makes the league so special. To be a part of a team that seemed to always play top tier hockey during the season, just to fall short of winning the cup, was a great feeling and a memory that will not be forgotten. Then the trade that sent Gunner to Riga. I knew my time was limited with Moscow and Riga was an option I picked. They looked to have a mixed bag of players that looked like a place Gunner could make a difference. Riga turned out to be a very fun team to be on. The team has a special feel to it and Gunner's team mates are nearly as crazy as he is. A match made in heaven. As it turned out, Riga was a monster in the playoffs. Nothing or nobody can take anything away from what the team achieved during the cup run. Long series, hard battles and a game seven in the finals. You just can't ask for anything better than that. I look forward to playing next season and see what kind of mark we can leave on the league. Good luck everyone, GO RIGA!!!
