Ottawa, Canada, Ottawa Lynx practice facility, 7:30am local time. Taavetti and David Jokinen give out a live press release.

Early this morning, Taavetti Jokinen, together with his big brother David, announced a new sponsorship deal with the ice hockey equipment giant, Bauer. From this day forward Taavetti will use Bauer gear exclusively.

The whole Jokinen family worked closely on this deal, to make sure it works out for everyone’s favor.

“I’m excited for this partnership with Bauer. I know these guys are real professional and my brother had Bauer gear most of his career, so I’m in good hands. David’s a real gear nerd, ya’ know.” Taavetti said.

“Everyone knows I’ve been a CCM guy before, so there are some small kinks ‘n screws that require some elbow grease haha.” Taavetti told with a smile.

What makes this deal special is that includes possible future Jokinen family players as well, so when the next Jokinen ice hockey star steps on VHL/VHLM ice, he’ll wear Bauer as well. This is why the whole family was involved.

Taavetti also announced that David Jokinen has been working with him closely as a personal coach and a trainer, and now in official capability. David works with Taavetti on his development and preparation for the tough VHL schedule and competition.
