Two Vancouver Wolves players have topped the 1000th shots blocked stat.  That’s right, only two.  In the number 2 slot is none other than Pierre Emile Bouchard, with 1069, retired after season 92.  In the number 1 slot is a retired player named Robin Galante Nilsson, who had 1424 shots blocked.  Pierre Marc Bouchard, is way behind his brother and is unlikely to catch up to PEB or Robin Galante Nilsson.  But there is another Wolves player who is ready and able to jump up in the stats and go after PEB’s second place record.

Liv Slater is currently only 165 shots blocked behind Pierre Marc Bouchard and is holding 37 shots blocked so far this season.  He is the closest one to jump into second place.  This will not be easy.  In order for Liv Slater to over take PEB, he’ll need to block 3.3 shots per game for the remainder of the season because this is Slater’s final season and he’ll be retiring at the end of the season.

The playoff leader for the Wolves is PEB, with 162 shots blocked.  There is little chance of this record being broken anytime soon.
