scoop 3,447
Coming into the season, the Nighthawks boasted two of the most skilled players in Phillip Rave and Jacob Stone. Undoubtedly the best players on the Malmo roster, the pair are arguably the best one-two punch of any team in the league. So far, they have been playing like it. Both coming off of the best seasons of their respective careers, Rave and Stone are among the league's best this season. After scoring a career high 45 goals last season, Rave currently leads the league with 20 goals in 23 games. He is well on pace to improve upon his total from last season, and his assists are up as well. Continuing his current pace would have him finish with 128 points. Meanwhile, Stone is playing in his ninth and final season, and he is looking as good as ever. While he is going to go down as a Malmo legend, his career may not be good enough for Hall of Fame consideration without a phenomenal final season. His stats thus far (36 points, 57 hits, 63 shots blocked) should have him as an early favorite for all of the defender awards, which would go a long way for his case. jacobcarson877 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/152492-rave-and-stone-playing-up-to-expectations/ Share on other sites
