Moscow, Russia - The latest rumors on the S96 World Cup of Hockey to be played in beautiful Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, have Maverick Goncalves on the Western European rosters alongside other prominent names such as Callum Gary Yannick Janser and his aunt Catia Goncalves.

 

The second-year player got an invitation from GM elected Blake Laughton, possibly removing veteran names like Owen Lazaro and former Most Outstanding Player David Rashford. The young Swiss is coming off his second season in the VHL where he posted a career-best in points.

 

While the list hasn't been officially disclosed as of yet, Maverick's participation in an exclusive and private PR opportunity in Moscow and sudden change in offseason plans seems to point towards this happening. 

 

It's known that his father, Leandro Goncalves, had some problems with Western Europe's delegation after being left out of a tournament while in his prime, but it seems like that isn't hampering Maverick.
